Tonight is my first night in Florence! It is beautiful! After a suuuuper long flight, I'm so glad to have made it with my HUGE bags! It turned out to be really easy to get from the airport to the school. Everyone is very helpful and welcoming. I didn't have any real idea of what to expect in Florence before I left home, so everything is pretty exciting and new! The apartment is gorgeous. It's in an old building but its clean and redone with a somewhat modern style. We have a huge private back patio that came with the apartment which has to be my favorite feature. Everything is pretty much perfect, I have nothing to complain about....well maybe except for the fact that Europe needs to invest in some dryers. But other than that, Hang drying laundry will be apart of the whole experience! ;)
Wish I could share more but I haven't been here for more than about 6 hours and I am about to go to a dinner for the entire study abroad program through Lorenzo de' Medici.
Very exciting!
